Austin had his 2 week well baby appointment today. Couldn't get in on his actual 2 week birthday and then they were closed Friday for NYE. He was 8lbs 2oz so he is back to his birth weight! This puts him in the 40th percentile for weight. He was 19.5 inches long...20in at birth but the nurse said they measure fast so it's not a big deal. His length puts him in the 25th percentile...lil shorty! :) His head was 14.5 inches which puts him in the 40th percentile.

Since he is back to his birth weight his pediatrician said we could stop the 1oz formula supplementing after breastfeeding and he will just go back on the 11th to be weighed to make sure he is still gaining. :) Hopefully now he will take both sides when he eats! He is allowed to go 3-4 hours now during the day and 4 hours at night. But he could of course eat more frequently since breast milk is easier to digest.

His cord has still not fallen off! She said the way it lays is preventing the underside from drying out completely so she put a little bit of silver nitrate on it and said it should be off within a week now. She thought he looked great and thinks he is a healthy little baby. :) Of course she loved his hair!

Told me I could start the vitamin D drops...but the nurse in me had already started them. Just going to start doing small amounts of tummy time to help with head control and keep him on track developmentally. She is a great doc!
