Mason had his GI appt last week. Went ok. We are going to trial using Prilosec for 2 weeks at bedtime to see if he does have reflux affecting his sleep. So far it hasn't helped ha! He said his first recommendation would be a feeding evaluation...which we already have set up for Wednesday morning so that's good. We did talk a bit about the possible workup and diagnosis for Eosinophilic Esophagitis. He also mentioned the somewhat likely possibility of a congenital stricture in his esophagus which does makes sense since it wouldn't have affected him when he was a infant and only drinking breastmilk/or his puramino formula.

To evaluate for EE we would have to sedate him for a endoscopy to take a biopsy of his esophagus. To evaluate for a congenital stricture he would have to have a swallow study which would entail him drinking his formula with barium contrast mixed in to they could watch how it travels on xray.

Anxious to see how his feeding evaluation goes. His GI doc did say that the nightime wake ups could very likely just be that he is not developmentally ready to sleep alone all night.
